  • VoIP for branch sites: now you can cost-effectively extend VoIP and converged networking to your smaller offices using Business IP Voice, thanks to our recent investment in Quality of Service (QoS) on eircom Business IP Reach. The service allows your branch offices to be included in your existing VoIP call plan and discount scheme, and QoS ensures high-quality voice and reliable performance of all your key applications. Choose from three download/upload speeds of 1MB/128K; 2MB/256K or 4MB/256K. These options allow for 4, 8 or 10 simultaneous VoIP calls respectively. • Ethernet Internet Access service: just launched, the new Ethernet Internet Access service lets your company use standardised Ethernet technology to access the internet, benefiting from permanent, symmetric bandwidth at speeds up to 100Mbps with easy upgrade or downgrade of bandwidth to suit changing needs. It's an excellent choice for HQ sites, or for offices housing websites, heavily-tracked mail servers or other applications requiring a significant amount of uploading. The service includes IP address assignment and management from eircom and is supported by eircom's standard SLA offerings. Customers with existing Ethernet services can use their current access links and network termination unit, making this a low entry-cost, efficient choice for internet access.
  • More control and flexibility for your IP network: The number of service profiles has increased again on eircom business IP from 8 to 12. This increase provides more granular control of how your applications are delivered across your converged network, by allowing you to choose from up to 12 different service profiles. Two new multimedia profiles have also been added to guarantee up to 95% of the port size (available on bandwidths of 2MB and below). This will help you maximise the number of VoIP channels on your circuits. Also, a "Precedence 4" option has also been added; if you have two real-time applications, this option lets you prioritise both applications across the network, while keeping them segregated.
