Unified Communications from eircom

Our Unified Communications (UC) solutions are integrated product sets designed to let you maximise the potential of UC to raise productivity in your organisation. A typical enterprise solution will include:

Clear strategy alignment: Our consultative team at eircom Advisory Services assess your processes, technology, people and place of work to identify business pain points and productivity opportunities, such as delays and inefficient communication and collaboration, or business processes. We can then provide a UC road map, including recommendations for revised processes and ICT infrastructure.

Converged IP infrastructure: We typically recommend a converged IP enterprise network as the platform to enable UC-lead productivity gains. This infrastructure supports enterprise-wide IP calling simplified cabling to the desktop, application prioritisation, and easier, faster moves, adds and changes (MACs).

UC Platform: Through Lan Communications, eircom’s wholly owned systems integration subsidiary, we provide Nortel and Cisco UC solutions so you benefit from local support for your infrastructure and business needs not just during rollout, but into the future. Through our partner CDSoft, we can design and implement architecture incorporating Active Directory, Office Communications Server and SharePoint Server. Working with strategic partners BearingPoint and Version 1, eircom can manage UC integration with both SAP and Oracle systems, delivering the full range of business benefits.

"Presence" tools to improve productivity: the UC components described above automatically detect and use "presence" information (Focus on 'presence' ) about individuals and teams to eliminate the old barriers to productivity, including voicemail tag, or workflows that stall due to the unavailability of key decision makers. Other UC components, residing on top of an IP infrastructure, improve productivity by delivering collaborative online workspaces and one-click contactability for all staff (via mobile, landline, instant messaging, teleconference, video conference).
