eircom 1 HSQ named Sustainable Development of the Year
eircom won two awards at the Irish Property Awards held in November 2008. The signature building at 1 Heuston South Quarter ( 1HSQ), which is eircoms new office, was named Sustainable Development of Year and Osprey Property was named Irish Commercial Developer of the year.
1HSQ was named best in class for sustainability and energy management. eircom also received the ‘green’ award for it’s work to reduce carbon dioxide emissions through the design of the building’s facade that incorporates twin-skin glazing and utilises natural ventilation to the maximum in an office environment.
The awards are considered the top accolades in the Irish property industry across 19 categories including Northern Ireland awards, agency awards and developer awards.
The event is organised by Property Week and sponsored by the Irish Independent, the event raised more than €17,000 for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Dublin. More than 1,000 people from north and south attended the event .
