eircom has launched Instant Infrastructure, Ireland’s first infrastructure as a service offering.
eircom’s Instant Infrastructure delivers effective virtual servers, storage, backup and network resources, as well as providing cloud enablement services to a wide variety of businesses in Ireland from SMEs to large corporate customers. |
The infrastructure can be scaled up or down giving the customer the flexibility to suit their individual needs without the complexities of purchasing or maintaining hardware.
This strongly positions eircom as the leading provider of cloud-based services in Ireland.
Customers of eircom’s Instant Infrastructure will benefit from increased flexibility and cost efficiency, allowing them to focus on their core business. For many organisations, Instant Infrastructure will alleviate data privacy concerns as customers benefit from the secure environment of a cloud but in a private context.

With Instant Infrastructure, customers can avail of a suite of pay-as-you-use virtualised services. Of particular benefit to small and medium sized businesses is the access that Instant Infrastructure facilitates to expensive or complex technologies that might otherwise be outside budget. Instead of constructing a data centre, buying servers, storage, building a network, configuring firewalls and equipment, customers can use eircom’s servers, storage and other platforms to run their ICT infrastructure.
Remotely managed in eircom’s data centres, Instant Infrastructure is delivered in partnership with Cisco, VMWare, EMC, Dell and Symantec. eircom’s suite of Instant Infrastructure products are tailored to meet the individual needs of each customer.
