eircom recently launched Next Generation Broadband(NGB) which improves the broadband experience for up to 1 million consumer and business customers in Ireland. eircom’s entry level product forbroadband now moves from 1Mb to up a speedy 8Mb, for all customers in NGB exchange areas. Existing broadband customers on 1Mb, 3Mb and 7Mb will be upgraded for free.
Initially available in Dublin, NGB rollout will be will be expanded to all major urban areas by the end of the year.
NGB provides users with a better, more consistent ‘free flow’ broadband experience during peak times meaning no congestion! This improves the customer experience for high bandwidth activities such as downloading films, gaming and streaming videos. For business customers, it will facilitate new trends such as cloud computing applications.
