The connected enterprise: your route to cost reduction
Connecting your teams to timely, relevant resources has been proven to improve responsiveness and reduce costs. eircom UC solutions help your staff make every minute count.
Imagine if your agents could resolve all customer queries quickly and accurately, first time, every time. What if you could remove time delays caused by staff unavailability and phone tag? What costs could you remove from the business if you eliminated offsite meetings and travel, and instead used high-quality video collaboration? These aren't blue-sky or costly goals. They are the defining characteristics of the connected enterprise – a place where integrating your desktop, telephony and network environment eases your IT management burden, reduces telephony costs and brings your teams closer together, wherever they may be. eircom's Unified Communications (UC) solutions make the connected enterprise a reality.

eircom UC: simple solutions for your cost control challenges

With eircom UC, you can achieve significant efficiencies for minimal investment. We know how to leverage your current network and telephony investment to ensure a cost-effective deployment.

As one of the largest independent adopters of UC in Ireland we have already realised over €1 million in savings from our own deployment. This included organisation-wide roll out of IP Voice and the introduction of instant messaging (IM), presence, desktop calling (“click to call”), video conferencing, and web collaboration.

One place for all of your UC needs

eircom is unique in its ability to offer UC capability from beginning to end, therefore removing much of the burden on IT Managers. This includes defining the UC business case, solution design, integration and support. With strong alliances forged with leading vendors such as Cisco, AVAYA, Microsoft, Verint and Nice, we are fully certified to work around your technology preferences.

UC in Action: Visual Communications Recovering the cost of business travel and work disruption is becoming a greater priority for organisations. With ongoing environmental challenges inhibiting staff from meeting face to face, web collaboration has become a powerful and sustainable tool for conducting business effectively. eircom supports many types of services – from subscription-based desktop videoconferencing to a full-size, almost real-life visual experience – without straining your bandwidth or infrastructure.

Combining quality equipment options with eircom's integration services, we partner with leading web and video collaboration vendors to ensure that the solution is fit for your needs:
  • Cisco WebEx:  Quick and easy to use, this service lets your teams set up internal and external meetings and events. Features include a branded microsite, full audio and video desktop conferencing, call recording and playback, and desktop and document sharing. WebEx is an externally managed subscription based service. An excellent example of this is "MyMeeting@ESB"   a service which proved that introducing sustainable work methods at ESB, such as web collaboration, could also deliver significant efficiencies across the organisation.
  • Microsoft LiveMeeting: LiveMeeting conferencing is an additional element of the Microsoft Office Communications Server and is included in the enterprise licence (ECAL). Integrated with Microsoft Outlook, its key role is to improve internal collaboration among staff. Features include video, desktop and document sharing.
  • Cisco/Tandberg’s  Video conferencing and Telepresence: Cisco/Tandberg suite of VC solutions, specifically Telepresence, takes visual collaboration to a new level with participants displayed at life-size, in a near real-life meeting environment. The high quality of the visual experience can effectively eliminate the need for executive travel. A key strength of Telepresence is its ability to eliminate traditional complexity and integrate dissimilar networks and systems into one seamless service.
If your organisation is examining the business potential of Visual Communications or any other UC solution, talk to us. We can outline a roadmap to ensure you gain maximum business benefit without the associated risks.
